Several options are available for weddings, receptions, special dinners, and other events at Magnolia Gardens The Sunroom, an elegant setting for one’s special occasion, is surrounded on three sides by glass walls and doors. Sixty guests can be accommodated at tables and chairs or ninety guests seated cathedral-style. The floor and steps are antique brick and a well, built over the original cistern, serves as a focal point. Outside the Sunroom walls are a deck (20’ x 20’) and a patio, which are available for usage with rental. All three areas are complemented by an intimate garden of azaleas, perennials, and annual color with a lion fountain as its central focus. The Gardens and the Great Lawn feature a picturesque wisteria arbor circled by majestic ancient trees. Seating for 200 plus guests is available in this area. The backdrop to the lawn is the historic Berry-Brawn mansion with the wrought iron spiral staircase. The Gazebo and Meadow on Spring Creek can be reached from the Inn by flowing steps or from the west entry of Magnolia Gardens. The Gazebo is a twelve hundred square foot structure accented with twinkle and icicle lights, it is popularly used as a dance floor or a showplace for wedding cakes, a display for hors d’oeuvres, or a stage for elegant dinners. The Meadow on Spring Creek is accented by a pond with a classic white arched bridge with water fountains on each side of the bridge. Newly opened, the Great Room at the Magnolia Gardens offers 2800 square feet for your unique event. The Great Room with three walls of glass is nestled beside one hundred year old magnolia and yellowwood trees, appearing as if the structure has been there for years. The entrance is accented with a bronze fountain of four dancing girls. The Great Room can accommodate a banquet with seating for 150 or a reception with a band for 120. Cathedral style seating will allow 180 guests for wedding ceremony, seminars, or church services. The service area has restrooms with handicap access, a full service bar, and a staging area for off-premise catering service. Other amenities include a sound system with CD player and an ipod docking station. In addition to the following rental options, we have special wedding packages available for booking.
ALL EVENTS: Magnolia Gardens event staff must be hired for every fifty guests at the rate of $20 per hour—these employees will serve as parking attendants prior to your event and will buss tables during your event. |
